Case Summary:This settlement resolves multiple class actions against Zoom Video Communications, Inc. The complaints alleged that Zoom (1) shared user information with third parties without authorization via software development kits install in the Zoom application, (2) shared user information with third parties without authorization through third-party apps that can be run on the Zoom platform, (3) did not prevent “Zoom bombing,” or meeting disruptions by third parties, and (4) did not provide the end-to-end encryption it said it would.
Note that two other lawsuits are pending in courts at this time. If you are a California resident, you must either exclude yourself from this settlement or give up your rights under those lawsuits.

Proof of Purchase:If you downloaded, opened, or used the Zoom Meetings App but you never registered for a Zoom Account, you must provide reasonable documentation showing you used the app, for example, an invitation to join a Zoom meeting that shows the date and Meeting ID number.
Eligibility:You may be eligible if you are a person in the US and, between March 30, 2016 and July 30, 2021, you registered, used, opened, or downloaded the Zoom Meetings App.
You are not eligible if you registered, used, opened, or downloaded the Zoom Meetings App through an Enterprise-Level Account or a Zoom for Government Account.
Typical Settlement Amount:Paid Subscription Claim: If you paid for a Zoom Meetings App subscription between March 30, 2016 and July 30, 2021, you may file a claim for $25 or 15% of the amount you paid for your core app subscription (without any extra features) during that time, whichever is greater.
User Claim: If you registered, used, opened, or downloaded the Zoom Meetings App between March 30, 2016 and July 30, 2021, and you are not eligible to submit a Paid Subscription Claim, you may file a claim for $15.
Final amounts depend on a number of factors, including the number of valid claims submitted.
