Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you are a current or former student of the University of California system who paid or were charged late fees, including for student housing, late enrollment, late registration, or delinquent student accounts, between October 10, 2015 and September 26, 2022.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Partial refunds of late fees paid: 33% of late fees for student housing and 20% of fees for late enrollment, late registration, or delinquent student accounts. However, amounts may be less depending on the total number of valid claims received.

If you did not pay the late fees billed to you, you will not receive a cash payment, but you may qualify for a waiver of unpaid late fees. UC will also stop charging late fees for at least six weeks.
