Case Summary:Tinder, Inc., Match Group, LLC, and Match Group, Inc. are paying more than $5 million to settle a class action alleging they charged higher prices for Tinder Plus and Tinder Gold to users who were 29 or older. The complaint alleged that this violated the California Unruh Civil Act, among other things. The Unruh Act forbids businesses in California from discriminating based on things like sex, race, age, religion, ancestry, disability, medical information, marital status, and so on.
