Timios, Inc. is settling a class action that claims it bears responsibility for the data breach that occurred in its systems over July 19-25, 2021. Eligibility:

You may be eligible if Timios mailed the notice to you announcing that between July 19, 2021 and July 25, 2021, Timios was the subject of a cyberattack.

If you are in the above class and you were living in California between July 19, 2021 and July 25, 2021, you may be a member of the California Settlement Subclass and eligible for an additional benefit.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Four benefits: (1) Expense Reimbursement: Up to $500 for documented out-of-pocket expenses and/or up to three hours of lost time at $20 per hour for dealing with the data breach. (2) Extraordinary Expense Reimbursement: Up to $3,000 for reimbursement of documented losses more than likely caused by the data breach. (3) Eighteen months of identity theft protection. (4) For California Settlement Class members, $50 (which will be considered part of the $500 available for expense reimbursement).
