Case Summary:

TTE Technology, Inc., which does business as TCL North America is paying $2.9 million to settle a class action alleging it deceptively advertised some of its televisions as having “Hz ratings” that were twice as high as their actual refresh rates. The complaint alleged that it advertised certain TVs with 60 Hz refresh rates as having “120Hz CMI,” “120HX Clear Motion Index,” or “120HZ CMI Effective Refresh Rate.”
