Fast Cash Subclass members who are claiming more than $35 must provide a receipt or other documentation for the covered item along with their Claim Form. SKU-Cap Subclass members do not need to do anything to receive a payment.Eligibility:
You may be eligible if you are in either of the following subclasses:
- Fast Cash Subclass: Any person who, between April 20, 2016 and June 27, 2022, (1) submitted a claim for coverage under a protection plan and (2) whose claim was resolved with a Fast Cash Payment from SquareTrade.
- SKU-Cap Subclass: Any person who, between April 20, 2016 and June 27, 2022, (1) submitted a claim for coverage under a protection plan, (2) resolved the claim with a monetary payment from SquareTrade, and (3) received less than the amount they should have received if it were not for the SKU-cap error.Typical Settlement Amount:
Benefits will depend on which subclass you are in and how many previous Protection Plan reimbursements you received from SquareTrade and in what amounts.
- Fast Cash Subclass: The difference in price between (1) the amount SquareTrade reimbursed you as the replacement cost and (2) the actual cost of replacing the protected item. If the difference is $35 or less, you do not have to provide documentation.
- SKU-Cap Subclass: The difference between the amount SquareTrade already reimbursed you and the original purchase price of the protected item.
