Case Summary:SquareTrade, Inc. is settling a class action alleging it underpaid two groups of consumers who made claims under SquareTrade Protection Plans. In the case of the Fast Cash Subclass, the complaint claims SquareTrade made payments of the estimated replacement cost of the covered item that were less than they should have been; and that in the case of the SKU-Cap Subclass, SquareTrade unintentionally applied an improper cap to the amount of the reimbursement to certain customers.
