Eligibility:You may be eligible if
- You are a person or entity who owns copyrights for music
- For which a certificate of registration was applied for or issued on or before June 29, 2017
- That was made available by Spotify, without a license, for interactive streaming and/or limited downloading
- Between December 28, 2012 and June 29, 2017.
You are not eligible if you are a party in a Participating Publisher Pending and Unmatched Usage Agreement entered into in 2016 in connection with the Pending and Unmatched Usage Agreement dated March 17, 2016 between Spotify and the National Music Publishers’ Association, or if you have agreed not to bring a claim against Spotify, or if you have already released Spotify from claims of copyright infringement covering the same works for interactive streaming or limited downloading during the above period.
Typical Settlement Amount:Pro-rata share of net settlement fund. Final amount depends on number of streams compared to total number of streams in all claims. Partial owners will receive benefits in proportion to ownership share. Spotify will also pay ongoing royalties according to the settlement agreement.
