Case Summary:This settlement is part of a very large case alleging that auto parts manufacturers engaged in collusion and price fixing for various components and parts used in making vehicles. This particular settlement resolves class actions against various Denso and NGK companies (including Denso Corporation and NGK Spark Plug Co., Ltd.) alleging that they engaged in collusion and price-fixing, causing direct purchasers to pay more for spark plugs than they otherwise would have.
Spark plugs are engine components that deliver high electric voltage from the ignition system to the combustion chamber of the engine.
