Roundup, Ace, HDX Weed Killer Ad Settlement

Settlement Structure: Claims Made

Active: Open

Case Summary:

Monsanto is settling a class action on false advertising and promotion of its Roundup, Ace, and HDX weed and grass killers. The complaint alleged that Monsanto did not reveal to consumers that the products, and glyphosate, the active ingredient they contained, could cause cancer or other negative health effects. Note that this is a false advertising and breach of warranty case, not a personal injury case. Class members will keep their right to sue if they develop cancer or other adverse health effects from their exposure to the products.
