This settlement resolves a class action against a group of companies, including RCN Telecom Services, LLC, RCN Telecom Services (Lehigh), LLC, RCN Telecom Services of New York, LP, RCN Telecom Services of Philadelphia, LLC, RCN Telecom Services of Illinois, LLC, RCN Telecom Services of Massachusetts, LLC, Starpower Communications, LLC, and Patriot Media Consulting, LLC.

You may be eligible if you are a current or former RCN customer in the US and you were charged and paid a Network Access and Maintenance fee between November 1, 2017 and September 13, 2022.

Typical Settlement Amount:

You award depends on several factors, including the form of payment you choose, your sign-up date, and the number of other valid claims submitted.
- Current customers who choose a bill credit will get 100% of their allocated loss, while current and former customers who ask for a check or electronic payment will get 50%.
- Your allocated loss depends on your sign-up date: If you signed up after February 17, 2019, your allocated loss is 80% of the NAM fees you paid. If you signed up before February 17, 2019 and were a customer on or after that date, your allocated loss is 40% of the NAM fees you paid. If you signed up before February 17, 2019 and you were not a customer anytime on or after that date, your allocated loss is 20% of the NAM fees you paid.
- If the net settlement fund does not cover all of the above payments, they will be decreased on a pro-rata basis.
- Your payment is estimated to be between 20 cents and $159.82.
