Case Summary:Johnson & Johnson Consumer, Inc. (JJCI) is settling multiple class actions that have been combined in a single multi-district litigation. The complaint alleged that certain lots of Neutrogena and Aveeno sunscreens were found to be contaminated with the chemical benzene, and that consumers were not warned of this. Vouchers worth $10.58 per product, up to a maximum of two products per household. Vouchers are transferrable and expire no less than twelve months after issue. Final amounts may be less, depending on the number of valid claims received.
Total Settlement Amount: $1,750,000 in vouchers, plus settlements and attorneys’ fees and costs.
