Navistar International Corporation and Navistar, Inc. have agreed to settle a class action about their 2011-2014 trucks equipped with MaxxForce 11- or 13-liter diesel engines. The complaint alleged that the trucks had defective exhaust gas recirculation (EGR) emissions systems that produced more soot and heat than engine components could handle, leading to failure of the components.

Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you are an entity or natural person who owned or leased a 2011-2014 vehicle equipped with a MaxxForce 11- or 13-liter engine that was certified to meet EPA 2010 emission standards without selective catalytic reduction technology, and you bought or leased the vehicle in any of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, or any other US possession or territory.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Three options: (1) Cash: Up to $2,500 based on months of ownership. (2) Rebate: Up to $10,000 based on months of ownership, good towards new Navistar Class 8 truck. (3) Prove-Up: Up to $15,000 for covered costs.
