Case Summary:Two companies—e prime Energy Marketing, Inc. and Xcel Energy, Inc.—are settling an antitrust class action alleging they conspired, along with other co-conspirators, to manipulate the price of natural gas in Colorado. The complaint alleged that, because of the conspiracy, commercial and industrial purchasers paid more for natural gas for their own use in Colorado than they otherwise would have.
Note that both companies are still involved in a similar case in Wisconsin, about Wisconsin natural gas purchases.
