Case Summary:This settlement resolves the remaining portions of a class action originally filed against Personnel Staffing Group, LLC (which does business as MVP), the Segerdahl Corportion, Mercury Plastics, Inc., the Penray Companies, Inc., Advertising Resources, Inc., Lawrence Foods, Inc., and MPS Chicago, Inc. The complaint alleged that African-American workers who looked for work assignments from MVP were not assigned to work at the other defendant companies. This final settlement resolves remaining claims against MPS.

Eligibility:You may be eligible if you are an African-American who applied for work assignments through Personnel Staffing Group/MVP at its Cicero, Illinois Office at any time between December 6, 2012 and April 19, 2021, but who, on one or more occasions, were not assigned by MVP to work at MPS Chicago.
Typical Settlement Amount:Benefits: Equal share of the net settlement fund, estimated to be between $10 and $50. Final amounts will depend on the number of valid claims received. Half of each payment will be considered wages and will be reported on a Form W-2; the otther half will be considered compensatory damages and will be reported on a Form 1099.
