Case Summary:The Methodist Hospitals, Inc. is settling a class action alleging it failed to adequately protect the personal information and protected health information stored in its systems, resulting in a data breach that took place between March 13 and June 12, 2019. - Had information in the relevant emails at the time of the data breach;
- Were offered credit monitoring and identity theft protection service for 24 months at no cost; and
- Are not affiliates, legal representatives, attorneys, heirs, assigns, officers, directors, or employees of the Methodist Hospitals or any entity in which the Methodist Hospitals has a controlling interest.
Benefits: (1) TransUnion Interactive’s myTrueIdentity credit monitoring and identity restoration services for two years. (2) Reimbursement of documented, unreimbursed economic losses of up to $3000 and $300 for lost time (at $20/hour) that are related to the data breach, not otherwise reimbursed by TransUnion or other parties, supported by documentation, and meet all other requirements set forth in the Reimbursement Form and Settlement Agreement.
