Merchants’ Choice Payment Solutions, Woodforest National Bank, and Paysafe Payment Processing Solutions, LLC are putting together $15,000,000 to settle a class action alleging that they caused merchants to unknowingly unroll in the Merchants’ Choice payment processing services. Eligibility:

You may be eligible if 

  • You contracted to receive payment card processing services from or through Merchants’ Choice between December 22, 2013 and September 18, 2018, and
  • You were charged any of the following fees: annual fees, batch header fees, PCI program/compliance fees, PCI non-compliance/non-validation fees, gateway access fees, Foundry/e-merchant fees, monthly minimum discount fees, non-qualified fees, discount rates, other discount fees, or paper statement fees. 
Typical Settlement Amount:

Share of net settlement fund; 35% be divided equally among all class members, 40% based on a formula with the claimant’s number of months as a customer (capped at 36), and 25% based on the dollar value of processed transactions during the period. Current customers paid via cash credit to statement, electronic funds transfer, or check; former customers paid via check.
