Eligibility:You may be eligible if you formerly provided, or currently provide, services to LGCY Power in California under a contract to act as a door-to-door salesperson, setter, closer, or lead generator, whether you are classified as a regular employee or an independent contractor, between May 23, 2015 and August 5, 2022.
Typical Settlement Amount:LCGY will pay into the gross settlement fund in installments, up until December 7, 2023. The money paid to class members will also be paid in installments.
Your payment will be made by check unless you choose another form of payment. Amounts of payments are calculated by a point system, comparing each individual class member’s points earned in California with the total number of such points of all class members during the class period. Points will be awarded for
- California non-managerial work weeks (1 point)
- Days with California interactions recorded in the LGCY database (1 point)
- Completed California installations under each class member’s ID number (2 points)
- Managerial work weeks (2 points)
Exact amounts of payments will not be known until the settlement receives final approval from the court.
