Eligibility:You may be eligible if you are a member of Settlement Class 1, that is, a person or entity who is or was a royalty owner where Kaiser-Francis is or was the operator (or a working interest owner who marketed its share of gas and directly paid royalties to the royalty owners) for the class wells during the production months of August 2013 through December 2021, and royalties on the gas were paid to these royalty owners; including the persons entitled to share in royalty proceeds during those months, under any lease that contains an express provision stating that royalty will be paid on gas used off the lease premises (an Express Fuel Clause). The claims in this matter relate to royalty payments for gas and its constituents (residue gas, natural gas liquids, helium, nitrogen, or condensate. Typical Settlement Amount:The Allocation Methodology specifies that the net settlement fund will be distributed among the class members proportionately, according to the volume of gas marketed by Kaiser-Francis, the amount and date of estimated deductions, and the distribution of small amounts that exceed the cost of distribution. No distribution will be made where the amount would be $5 or less.
