Case Summary:

This settlement was reached in response to a class action against Hertz Corporation and Dollar Thrifty Automotive Group, Inc. about their charges for rental cars that were booked online in the US and picked up and paid for in Mexico. The complaint alleged that the advertised cost of the rentals did not include mandatory insurance charges and that customers were charged an inflated exchange rate for converting US dollars to Mexican pesos.
