Google+ was in operation between June 2011 and April 2019, but Google has revealed that between 2015 and 2018, the platform had certain software bugs that allowed app developers to access some of the profile field information without authorization.

Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you are a consumer in the US who (1) had a consumer Google+ account at any time between January 1, 2015 and April 2, 2019, and (2) your non-public profile information was exposed because of the software bugs Google announced on October 8 and December 10, 2018.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Final payment will depend on the number of valid claims received. The initial maximum distribution will be a pro-rata share of the net settlement fund of up to $5 per claimant. If sufficient funds remain after this, the allocation will be recalculated up to a maximum of $12 per claimant. Only one claim is permitted per class member, no matter how many Google+ accounts the person had.
