- The California Class is all individuals currently or formerly employed by Global K9 in California as a canine handler employee between April 21, 2016 and February 15, 2021. The class includes any deceased or incompetent class members’ legal guardian, executor, heir, or successor in interest.

- The Collective Class is all individuals currently or formerly employed by Global K9 as a canine handler employee between April 21, 2016 and February 15, 2021. The class includes any deceased or incompetent class members’ legal guardian, executor, heir, or successor in interest.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Pro-rated share of the net settlement fund based on share of the total number of workweeks, membership in the California or Collective Class, and share of total unpaid business expenses. Payments in four installments at the ends of fiscal quarters after the settlement is approved. Two-thirds allocated to wages subject to payroll taxes; one-third considered as interest and penalties, reported on a Form 1099.
