Case Summary:

Settlements have been reached with another group of defendants in a large combined antitrust class action alleging that makers of automotive parts conspired to fix or raise prices, rig bids, or allocate the supply of such parts, in violation of antitrust laws. In this case, the settlement involves direct purchases of fuel injection systems and parts directly from manufacturers or its related companies in the United States. The complaint alleged that the conspiracy resulted in customers having to pay more than they otherwise would have.

The settling defendants are (a) Aisan Industry Co., Ltd., Franklin Precision Industry, Inc., Hyundam Industrial Co., Ltd., and Aisan Corporation of America; (b) Mikuni Corporation and Mikuni American Corporation; (c) Hitachi Astemo, Ltd. (f/k/a Keihin Corporation) and Hitachi Astemo Indiana, Inc. (f/k/a Keihin North America, Inc.); and (d) Maruyasu Industries Co., Ltd.

Previously, settlements were reached with Mitsubishi Electric, Hiams, Mitsuba, and Denso companies. These further settlements will fully resolve this litigation if approved by the court.
