A number of salmon farmers are settling an antitrust class action, including Mowi ASA and related companies, Grieg Seafood ASA and related companies, Sjór AS, SalMar ASA, Lerøy Seafood AS and Lerøy Seafood USA, Inc., and Cermaq Group AS and related companies. The complaint alleged that these companies entered into a conspiracy to fix, raise, or maintain prices for farm-raised salmon, so that indirect purchasers of salmon and salmon products paid more than they otherwise would have.

You may be eligible if, between April 10, 2013 and November 17, 2022, you indirectly bought, for resale, from a person or entity other than the defendants in this case, farm-raised salmon or products derived from farm-raised salmon (such as salmon filets or smoked salmon) sold or distributed by the defendants, in any of the following states, districts, or territories:

Alabama, Arizona, Arkansas, California, the District of Columbia, Florida, Guam, Hawaii, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Maine, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Hampshire, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Oregon, Rhode Island, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, West Virginia, or Wisconsin.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Pro-rata share of the net settlement fund, according to a Plan of Allocation, that will represent a percentage of the value of your purchases. Claims will not be paid if their value is less than the cost of transmitting the payment.
