Express Services, Inc. and Phillips & Associates, Inc. will be paying up to $10 million to settle a labor law class action, alleging they violated the California Unfair Business Practices Act and Private Attorney General Act (PAGA). The complaint alleged that the companies did not pay the proper amount in overtime wages, did not permit proper first and second meal periods or additional pay instead, did not give workers accurate itemized wage statements, and did not pay all wages due when employees were terminated.

Include any documentation you have that supports your claim of different information. Please also make sure your address is correct or fill out an address change form. Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you are a current or former California employee of Express Services or Phillips & Associates who did assignments for them between March 23, 2008 and December 31, 2017.

In addition to being a class member, you may also be a member of the Wage Statement Subclass and/or the PAGA Group.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Each class member will receive a proportionate share of $5,253,700.50 (75% of the net settlement fund), depending on the number of weeks worked. Members of the Wage Statement and PAGA Subclasses will receive additional amounts.
