Case Summary:Experian Information Solutions, Inc. is paying $5 million to settle a class action alleging that it provided inaccurate information on some of its credit reports. The complaint alleged that the inaccurate information included delinquent loan accounts from CashCall, Inc., a debt collector for loans from Western Sky Financial, LLC, that should have been excluded after January 1, 2015. Although Experian deleted all CashCall accounts from its consumer reports in December 2014, the complaint claims, it later permitted some of those accounts to begin reporting again.
