Company: Electrolux

Filing Deadline: February 3, 2016

Objection Deadline: January 4, 2016

Exclusion Deadline: January 4, 2016

Proof of Purchase:

Proof of purchase, such as receipt or photo of serial number; proof of repair if claiming for reimbursement of past repairs to the ice maker.

Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you were the original purchaser of a “Gen 1 FDBM”—a refrigerator-freezer unit with dual refrigerator doors and the freezer compartment below the refrigerator compartment, that was manufactured by or for Electrolux (approximately between November 2008 and May 2011), that contain a Gen 1 ice maker. A Gen 1 ice maker:

  • is mounted in the refrigerator compartment
  • provides ice through the refrigerator door
  • creates cubes by cooling water to below freezing via a liquid coolant in metal “fingers” inserted vertically in cup-shaped molds filled with water, and
  • produces ice cubes in the shape of cylinders.

See the first page of the class notice for information on serial numbers.

You are NOT eligible if you have already received either a refund of the purchase price or a free exchange refrigerator without a Gen 1 ice maker.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Claimants will receive a $100 cash benefit. Those who document qualifying repairs to the ice makers may also receive reimbursement for some or all of the repairs, depending on the number of and amounts cited in claims received. In addition, they may receive a $100 rebate for a future purchase of an Electrolux or Frigidaire product.

Total Settlement Amount: Total amount of $100 claims and rebates, plus up to $250,000 for repairs
