Case Summary:Deloitte Consulting, LLP is paying close to $5 million to settle a class action alleging it permitted personal information to be exposed related to the Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA) program. Deloitte helped Illinois, Colorado, and Ohio to set up websites for their states’ PUA programs. Later, it was found that certain claimants in these programs were able to see the information of other claimants, including names, addresses, and Social Security numbers.

Eligibility:You may be eligible if the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services, the Illinois Department of Employment Security, or the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment sent you a notice between approximately May 18-21, 2020 that your personal information was, or may have been, compromised in the PUA data security incident.
Typical Settlement Amount:(1) Reimbursement: Up to $120 for money you spent for credit monitoring or other identity theft protection services between the date you received the Notice of the PUA data security incident and August 30, 2020.
(2) Reimbursement: Up to four hours at $20 per hour for time you spent dealing with the data exposure. You do not need proof for these hours. Also, up to eight additional hours at $20 per hour dealing with fraud or identity theft or protecting you from future harm. You do need documentation for these additional hours.
(3) Cash payments: If money is left over in the net settlement fund, then money paid for claims may be increased on a pro-rata basis, up to an additional $200 per claimant.
