Case Summary:Chipotle is paying $6.5 million to settle a class action alleging that its “non-GMO” advertising was deceptive. The complaint alleged that some of the meat and dairy products served by the restaurant (such as chicken, steak, barbacoa, carnitas, cheese, and sour cream) came from animals that may have eaten GMO feed, and that some of its beverages also contained GMOs.

Up to five valid claims allowed per class member without proof of purchase; up to ten per class member with proof of purchase; and up to fifteen per household with proof of purchase. Final amounts will depend on the number of valid claims received.
