CareerBuilder Sales Commissions Settlement

Settlement Structure: Claims Made

Active: Open

Case Summary:

CareerBuilder, LLC and Apollo Global Management, Inc. are settling a class action alleging that they changed sales representatives’ compensation plans in early 2019, reducing and later eliminating commissions they owed the reps for sales they had already made. Originally, the reps were paid commissions of 2% or 4% on revenue from sales, the complaint alleges, but these were first reduced to 0% to 0.25% in early 2019 and abolished entirely in July 2019. The complaint alleged that the companies did not pay commissions earned for sales made under earlier compensation plans.
