A settlement in the sum of $190 million is resolving class actions against Capital One Financial Corporation, Capital One, NA, Capital One Bank (USA), NA, Amazon.com, Inc., and Amazon Web Services, Inc. The complaints alleged that the companies did not adequately protect the information they stored from a data breach Capital One announced in July 2019. Typical Settlement Amount:

Benefits: (1) Reimbursement for money: Up to $25,000 for money you spent trying to avoid or recover from fraud or identity theft that is fairly traceable to the Capital One data breach. (2) Reimbursement for lost time: Up to 5 hours of time (or up to 15 of time with documentation), at $25/hour (or, if you took off from work, at a higher wage with documentation), that you spent trying to avoid or recover from fraud or identity theft that is fairly traceable to the Capital One data breach. (3) Identity Defense Services. (4) Restoration Services, for a period of at least three years.
