This lawsuit alleges that certain water pumps in MINI vehicles are defective and prone to leaking and failure, causing the vehicle to overhead and stall and resulting in expensive repairs.  BMW of North America, LLC is the authorized distributor of MINI vehicles in the United States.

Proof of Purchase:

Claimants must fill out a claim form, provide an invoice or repair order for the water pump with the vehicle VIN, a description of the parts and labor, and proof of out-of-pocket costs with a receipt, credit card statement, etc.

Eligibility:

All residents of the United States (including Puerto Rico) who currently own or lease, or who previously owned or leased any MINI R55, R56, R57, R58, R59, and R60 vehicle, made for sale and/or lease in the U.S.  The vehicle must have a production date between October 2006 through November 2012 and it must have been registered in the United States (including Puerto Rico).

                                                                                                

Typical Settlement Amount:

BMW will reimburse the class member for the lesser of either the actual cost of the water pump repair or a $500 reimbursement for repairs already made.
