Case Summary:This settlement resolves a portion of a very large antitrust litigation against makers of automotive parts, dealing with those who manufactured bearings for automotive and industrial use. The settling defendants include a group of parts makers that include companies in the JTEKT, Nachi, NSK, NTN, and SKF groups.
The class action was brought on behalf of direct-purchaser distributors in the US of many types of ball bearings, including tapered roller bearings, needle roller bearings, roller bearings, and mounted bearings.
