American HomePatient, Inc. (AHOM) and Lincare Holdings, Inc. (LHI) are settling a class action stemming from an incident where a burglar stole computers from AHOM’s facility in Newark, Delaware. Eligibility:

You may be eligible if you are an individual in the US who is a current or former patient or customer of AHOM or LHI, your PII was stored on the unencrypted hard drives stolen in the burglary that occurred on or about January 6, 2017, and you suffered harm from the dissemination of your PII.

Typical Settlement Amount:

Six benefits: (1) Enrollment in Equifax Credit Watch Silver program. (2) Payment for self-purchased identity theft protection. (3) Payment for false or fraudulent tax returns filed after January 6, 2017. (4) Payment for unauthorized IRS tax transcripts requested from and issued by the IRS after January 6, 2017. (5) Payment for certain incidents of identity theft related to financial fraud occurring after January 6, 2017. (6) Reimbursement for out-of-pocket losses or lost time resulting from the burglary incident. Note that caps have been placed on total payments for each of the categories. If the caps are exceeded, payments will be made on a pro rata basis.
