When a company takes its payments automatically, customers may not understand exactly what they’re paying for. The complaint for this class action alleges that Verizon Wireless (officially, Cellco Partnership) encourages customers to sign up for paperless billing and automatic payments and do not fully inform them of what they’re paying for or of how to cancel items they do not want. The complaint brings suit under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act (NJCFA).
