Ulster Savings Bank Misuse of OD and NSF Fees Complaint

August 4, 2020

The complaint for this class action brings suit against Ulster Savings Bank for two practices that have been seen all too often with banks these days. First, it claims that Ulster charges overdraft (OD) fees on accounts that were never overdrawn. Second, it alleges that Ulster improperly imposes multiple fees, including nonsufficient funds (NSF) fees and/or OD fees, on a single automated clearinghouse (ACH) payment. The complaint alleges that these practices are not permitted by Ulster’s own account documents.
