In August 2021, T-Mobile announced that it had experienced a data breach. The complaint for this class action alleges that T-Mobile failed to adequately protect the personally identifying information (PII) of its customers. It also suggests that T-Mobile may have learned of the breach “not through its own proactive and protective cybersecurity systems, but rather as a result of the report of the hacker attempting to sell the data.”
