Manufacturers Permit Heavy Metals in Baby Food Complaint

A recent US House of Representatives Subcommittee report has led to a rash of lawsuits against baby food makers, because it found heavy metals in samples of baby food. This class action brings suit against four of them—Hain Celestial Group, Inc., Gerber Products Company, Beech-Nut Nutrition Company, and Plum, PBC. It alleges their baby foods are, to quote from the report, “tainted with significant levels of toxic heavy metals, including arsenic, lead, cadmium, and mercury[.]”
