FCA Tigershark MultiAir II Engine Shut-Off Complaint

July 21, 2020

The complaint for this class action alleges that the 2.4L Tigershark MultiAir II engine used in certain FCA US, LLC vehicles is defective. According to the complaint, the engines can stall without warning while in use. This appears to be because, the complaint claims, these engines “consume oil at a furious pace and at a much more accelerated rate than [FCA] discloses and warrants…. This defect results in critically low engine oil levels, and causes vehicles installed with [the engine] to stall and lose power without warning.”
